Moving back home with your parents is never fun, but when you get to redesign your mom's art studio into your new bedroom it can be a blast. First thing I changed was the sad yellow paint and started fresh with crisp white walls. Second was garage sale finds, including sleigh bed, white dresser and "love" artwork. After finding vintage seahorse wallpaper off ebay, I took picture frames from Ikea, cut out sections from my prized online find and created instant art that I can take with me when I get my own place again. With blue being a main color in my seahorse wallpaper, I decided that an accent wall color would be nice, and after a trip to Home Depot I found a pretty teal that would work especially since it was in the oopsie bin for $7

My studio apartment with one little window became a lot brighter after painting my focus wall in a colorful orange, drawing inspiration from sunset artwork hanging against a hand painted brown border.
